How to Shop from Europe to the UK?
We understand that the current uncertainty surrounding Brexit has left a lot of our customers feeling apprehensive regarding the use of our service to bring goods into the UK moving forward.
We have good news to share about this! You will no doubt have noticed that all of your shopping addresses are activated once more. Shopping from mainland Europe and delivery to the United Kingdom is once again available to you today! With weekly deliveries it has never been easier to shop from your favorite European brands from countries like Italy, Lithuania, Greece, Poland, Romania, Latvia, and Estonia.
Following the suspension of services following Brexit in the early months of 2021, we are pleased to announce the return of European parcel shipment into the UK. Please see the important information below (as it currently stands) applicable in general at UK level. Please note that all of these are subject to change based on the discussions and interpretations from the UK Government and associated customs authorities.
When parcels arrive in the United Kingdom each of them is subject to import customs formalities – this allows the parcels to be circulated as UK parcels throughout the country:
Low Value (LV) Parcels with final customs value up to £135 (GBP): Parcels to this value require a payment of import VAT. An import customs clearance fee of £4.99 will also be applicable alongside an import customs payment fee of 9.99% of parcel value*
High Value (HV) Parcels with final customs value over £135 (GBP): Parcels to this value require a payment of import VAT and import Duties. An import customs clearance fee of £49.99 will also be applicable alongside an import customs payment fee of 9.99% of parcel value*
*Applied to the value of customs payments made on behalf of the client by EshopWedrop (Min fee/charge of £0.99 GBP)
Import Customs Clearance Service Fee: This is the service fee charged to the clients by EshopWedrop for the service of taking care of the import formalities for each individual parcel. These fees are different for LV, and HV parcels and you will find this in the official tariffs list published on our website.
Import Customs Payments Service Fee: This is the service fee charged to the clients by EshopWedrop for the service of making the Import Customs Payments on behalf of the client. These are Import VAT, Import Customs Duties, and Other Import Taxes paid by EshopWedrop (or its subcontractors and appointed agents) to Customs Authorities to import each parcel.
It is important to note that each parcel will be treated individually. This means the Import Customs procedures will be applied separately to each parcel. In case of more than one parcel for the same client consolidated into one shipment arriving in the UK, the cumulated value of all parcels for the same client is considered for determining each parcels’ customs category (Low-Value Parcel, or High-Value Parcel).
For example, regardless of individual values, two parcels each valued up to £135 will be adjusted to one LV and one HV – this is because of their accumulated value of more than £135 sets a HV value and will therefore one will be cleared in line with the High Value Parcels import customs payments and services fees as presented above. In the case of more parcels, should you have any questions regarding fees please get in touch with our customer support team for further clarification.
We would like to assure our customers that we are doing everything in our power to make this a smooth and seamless process and we thank you for your continued understanding and patience in this matter. Please enjoy shopping internationally again and receiving your goods back in the UK once more!
